Title: Instructions for being happy (Bilingual Edition)

Publisher: Al Bidar

Pages: 120

Author: Shaykh 'Abdurrahman Ibn Nasir As-Sa'dî

Soft Book

This book contains advice that seems so simple and so obvious that it gives the impression that it is already known to everyone… But contrary to appearances, this book is a pillar of Muslim spirituality.

Indeed, it unites in itself the practical methods to overcome all the trials that await us in this world. It contains the guidance that every human being needs throughout his life.
It gives us the tools to use during sadness and any other hardship, but also, it teaches us to organize ourselves and manage our time, in order to never have regrets, to forge healthy links with those around us, in order to preserve pure relationships.

We recommend that our brothers and sisters read it several times at different times, and put its teachings into practice.

This book is two books in one:

– on the one hand, it contains the original Arabic version to which we have added all the Arabic vowels ( tashkîl ),
– on the other hand, its adaptation in French version with some comments.

A glossary has also been made available to the reader at the end of the book. We have tried to facilitate the reading of this work, as well as its understanding, which is why many of our brothers and sisters have read it again and shared their observations with us, may Allah reward them.

Shaykh 'Abdurrahmân Ibn Nâsir As-Sa'dî is a recognized contemporary scholar, born in 1889 (1307H) and died in 1957 (1376H) in Saudi Arabia. He was the author of a large number of works useful to the community, the best known of which is his exegesis of the Qur'ân: Taysîr Al-Karîm Ar-Rahmân fî Tafsîr Kalâm Al-Mannân , better known under the name of Tafsîr As-Sa'dî .

The book you are holding was written after the Shaykh was hospitalized, during which his son gave him a book by Dale Carnegie called Stop Anxiety and Start Your Life . He took great pleasure in reading this work and, on his return, he took the initiative to write a work on the same subject, shorter and drawing its teachings from the Qur'ân.

He entitled his book The useful means for a happy life , a title that we preferred to adapt by naming it Manual to be happy.
