The Importance of Tawhid in Worship

When we carefully read the Quran and meditate on it, we find that the first commandment it dictates is the worship of Allah without a partner. Similarly, we note that the first prohibition decreed is that of polytheism. So, if Allah in his book has decided to give this theme a privileged and priority place, it is with the aim of encouraging believing servants to also pay particular attention to monotheism and its opposite, namely polytheism.

For some, this subject has become banal and secondary, they allow themselves to neglect it and go further by denigrating those who attach importance to it. However, Allah does not give priority to a secondary subject. Indeed, it suffices to look at the habits and customs of many Muslims to realize that practices relating to polytheism are still well established in people's mentalities and daily lives.
