Sheikh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-`Uthaymīn (d. 1421 H.), may Allah have mercy on him, said: “Then: Certainly, the exegesis of our Sheikh `Abd Ar-Raḥmān Ibn Nâsir Ibn Sa'dî (d. 1376 H.), may Allah the Most High have mercy on him, entitled “Tay sīr Al-Karīm Ar-Raḥmān fī tafsīr Kalām Al-Mannān”, is one of the best exegeses because of its many merits:

It is written in a simple and clear style, which can be understood by those who are firmly rooted in science, as well as those who are less than him, It avoids unnecessary words and lengths without interest, except to waste the reader's time and concentration, It avoids mentioning discrepancies, except in the case of strong discrepancies which it is necessary to mention, and this is very useful to the reader, so that his understanding is concentrated on one thing, It follows the path of the predecessors [also] regarding the verses about the Attributes, without distorting them, nor interpreting them in a way that opposes what Allah wills by His Word. It is therefore a reference in the establishment of belief.

This is also the case because of the precision in extracting what the verses include as beneficial lessons, rules and judgments. This is a book of exegesis and education in good behavior. This is the reason why I would advise anyone who is interested in books of exegesis to include this valuable exegesis in their library.

I ask Allah the Almighty that He may benefit from it for its author and its reader, He is certainly Noble and Generous, and that the praises of Allah be on our Prophet Muḥammad, as well as on his Family and all of his Companions, and those who followed them to perfection. ".
