Who are the Sahaba?

Sahaba is the plural of sahabi (a companion): The companion is the one who met the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم while believing in him and who died with this belief.

We must believe that they are the best of this community for centuries, for having been the first to acquire the privilege of the company of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and for having carried then transmitted, to the following generations, the Koran and the Sunnah.
