This book constitutes the second part and end of the life of the prophet Youssouf (PBUH), the first part of his life is told in the book The Trials of Joseph.

Believing in the prophets is one of the foundations of the Muslim faith. God chose these men of high virtue to be His Lieutenants on Earth and to propagate His Word. The prophets announce to men the divine commandments, correct their deviations and exhort everyone to worship only Him and to adhere to good morals. God the Almighty has sent to every community a warner.

This is why there are a large number of prophets. However, the Koran only mentions twenty-five of them by name, among the greatest.
