How to be happy?
All praise belongs to Allah who said (approximate translation of the meaning of the verses):
“We have not sent down the Quran to you so that you would be unhappy”
(Surah 20: Ta-Ha, verse 2)
“And that it is He who made people laugh and who made people cry”
(Surah 53: The Star, verse 43)
“Then if ever guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance will not go astray nor will they be unhappy.”
(Surah 20: Ta-Ha, verse 123)
“And whoever turns away from My Reminder will certainly lead a life full of embarrassment, and on the Day of Resurrection We will bring him blind to the gathering.”
(Surah 20: Ta-Ha, verse 124)
The original text of this book is a passage taken from the magnificent work of Imam Ibn al-Qayyim entitled Zad al-Ma'ad .
This passage was explained by Shaykh Muhammad Aman al-Jami in a series of lectures.
