This short passage on earth is a test where the servants of Allah are tested between good and evil, thus determining their destiny in the afterlife. Faced with this adversity, the individual must draw on his faith to make the right choices, knowing that his actions will be weighed on the day of judgment. The free will granted to us implies the responsibility to choose between the lawful and the unlawful, while recognizing that divine will takes precedence over ours. Thus, every act here on earth will be evaluated in the afterlife, rewarding beneficence and punishing moral deviation.
