''Minhâj Al-Muslim'' (The Way of the Muslim) consists of five parts, each consisting of several chapters. The first is devoted to faith;

the second to behavior;

the third to ethics;

the fourth to religious practices;

and the fifth to social relations.

It thus encompasses the foundations and branches of the Muslim religion. Describing the method he followed in composing his book, Sheikh Abû Bakr Al-Jazâ'irî – may he have mercy on him – said: “I have followed, with the assistance of God, the right path. Thus in the chapters relating to dogma, I have not deviated from the precepts of the Ancients which have the unanimous approval of the Community. Whoever makes this dogma his own is sure to obtain salvation, because it is the dogma to which the Prophet (PSL), as well as his Companions and their successors, adhered.
