Prayer is what is most important for the servant, after the two attestations of faith. He who performs it diligently and preserves it will certainly have preserved his religion. As for the one who neglects it, he will certainly be even more neglectful for the rest. This is the second pillar of Islam and its foundation, as authentically established by the Prophet: "The pinnacle of the matter is Islam and its cornerstone is prayer." Due to his importance and rank, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) never stopped making recommendations about him, even in the last moments of his life.

He taught that prayer is the direct connection between the servant and his Lord, an intimate encounter that strengthens faith, purifies the soul and elevates the spiritual status.
