Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: I once visited Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah. He prayed Fajr, then sat down to remember Allah Most High until almost half day, then he turned to me and said, "This is my morning." Another time he said to me, "I never leave the evocation, except with the intention of resting my soul."

It is also part of its virtues that it erases sins and makes them go away, it brings affinity between the servant and his Lord, Blessed and Exalted, it is the planting of Paradise and a light for the evocator here below, as well as in the tomb and on the bridge thrown over Hell.
