This is the belief of Imam Abū Ja`farAḥmad aṭ-Ṭaḥāwī (d. 321 H.), in which he mentions all the beliefs of the pious predecessors, and of those who followed them among the members of the People of the Sunna and the Group, in particular the Imams of the Hanafi school of jurisprudence, including Imam Aṭ-Ṭaḥā wī was the follower. He showed his aim in the introduction, saying:

"This is a statement of the belief of the People of the Sunna and the Group according to the opinion of the jurists of this religion: Abū Ḥanīfah An-Nu`mān ibn Thābit al-Kūfī, Abū Yūsuf Ya`qūb ibn Ibrāhīm al-Anṣārī and Abū `Abdillāh Muḥammad ibn Al-Hasan ash-Shaybānī and the foundations of the religion in which they believed and by which they sought the approval of the Lord of the worlds. »
