About Ibn 'Ashir
Abû Mâlik 'Abdul Al-wâhid Ibn Ahmad Ibn 'Ali Ibn 'âshir Al-ansârî (of Medinan then Andalusian origin), was born in 990 AH (1582), he lived in Fez and died in 1040 AH (1631).
He was a lawyer, a pious and virtuous scholar. He had accumulated knowledge in the science of the Quran, grammar, interpretation of the Quran, logic, mathematics, Usûl and several other disciplines. He was an ascetic, a mujahid and a pious Sufi. Among his works: "the morning: Al-murshid al-mu'în 'alâ ad-darûrî min 'ulûmi ed-dîn", "Tanbîh Al-khillâni fî 'Ilmi rasmi Al-Qur-ân", "'Ilmu Ar- rub'i al-majîdi", "shifâu al-qalbi al-jarîhi fî sharhi burdati al-madîhi" and others...
